Terms of Service - Merchant Services
General Terms - The following terms and conditions apply to all Vouchers unless otherwise required by federal, state or local law:
- By placing an order for a voucher, you are offering to purchase the voucher at a set price from the Advertiser The Voucher allows you to purchase a face value of goods/services/tickets for a reduced price Various restrictions may apply to the use of a Voucher which restrictions are set forth on the Voucher itself In addition, the Voucher is subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein
- You must create an account in order to purchase a Voucher This is required so we can process your purchase, and provide you with easy access to print your Voucher, view your past purchases, and modify your preferences Once you have created an account, you will be allowed to purchase Vouchers without re-registering
- Participant acknowledges and agrees that payment processing services for Publisher’s I Love a Deal website are provided by Stripe inc. You must establish a Strip account, and will be subject to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”) See https://stripe.com/us/legal for details By participating in this I Love A Deal offering, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time Further, as a condition of Publisher enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Publisher accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize Publisher to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe
- Vouchers are redeemable for the good/services/tickets specified in the Voucher only from the Advertiser Vouchers are not redeemable from the The Citizen or any third party other than the Advertiser Vouchers may not be redeemed for cash or applied as payment to an account Advertiser is solely responsible for all customer services associated with redemption of the Voucher and all complaints should be directed to the Advertiser
- Unless otherwise set forth in the Voucher, the Voucher may only be used once The Voucher must also be used prior to the Voucher’s expiration date You will not be entitled to receive cash for any unused portion of the face value of the Voucher However, except for tickets to an event, for a period of five years from the Voucher’s issue date, you are entitled to receive redemption credit equal to the difference between the cash value you paid for the Voucher minus the amount you have redeemed, if any, but only from the Advertiser
- Vouchers are marked with a unique code number Neither the Advertiser nor The Citizen(or their affiliates, vendors or assigns) are responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten Vouchers In the event a Voucher has been lost or destroyed, please contact us at (315) 253-5311 and a new Voucher will be issued to you at no charge However, if you attempt to use a Voucher that has already been redeemed, your replacement Voucher will not be redeemable Fraudulent use of copying of vouchers may result in suspension of deal account
- In the event an issue arises related to your inability to print a Voucher or related to inappropriate charges to your credit card, please contact iloveadealsupport@lee net
- The Advertiser is responsible for any and all claims related to or arising out of the use of the Voucher including, without limitation, claims for injury, illness, damages, negligence, costs and attorneys’ fees The Citizen and its affiliates and assigns are not responsible for any loss, claims or damages relating to goods and services purchased through “I Love a Deal”, including, without limitation, the inability to redeem the Voucher, due to Vendor’s failure to perform

Restaurant Vouchers: The following additional terms and conditions apply to Vouchers redeemed for food/beverages unless otherwise required by federal, state or local law:
- Vouchers may not be redeemed for alcoholic beverages unless otherwise specified or permitted by the Advertiser and if allowed, shall be in compliance with federal, state and local law
- Voucher may not be combined with any other coupons, certificates, vouchers, or promotions, unless otherwise specified or permitted by the Advertiser
- Voucher may not be used for taxes, tips, or other gratuities, unless otherwise specified or permitted by Advertiser
- Voucher is valid for dine-in only unless otherwise specified or permitted by Advertiser
Goods Vouchers: The following additional terms and conditions apply to Vouchers redeemed for goods/products unless otherwise required by federal, state or local law:
- Voucher may not be combined with any other coupons, certificates, vouchers, or promotions, unless otherwise specified or permitted by the Advertiser
- Voucher may not be used for taxes, shipping fees and handling charges, unless otherwise specified or permitted by Advertiser
Service Vouchers: The following additional terms and conditions apply to Vouchers redeemed for services unless otherwise required by federal, state or local law:
- Voucher may not be combined with any other coupons, certificates, vouchers, or promotions, unless otherwise specified or permitted by the Advertiser
- Voucher may not be used for taxes, tips, or other gratuities, unless otherwise specified or permitted by Advertiser
- Services must take place at Advertiser’s place of business unless otherwise specified or permitted by Advertiser
- Any services requiring an appointment, must be scheduled and completed within the redemption window Scheduling is subject to advertiser availability Failing to schedule service in advance of the expiration date (prior to the last 30 days), may result in voucher promotional value expiring Refunds will not be issued for inability to schedule Paid value will still be valid with the merchant for up to 5 years
Vouchers for admission to events: The following additional terms and conditions apply to Vouchers for admission to events (or Vouchers redeemed for tickets to events) unless otherwise required by federal, state or local law:
- Voucher may not be combined with any other coupons, certificates, vouchers, or promotions, unless otherwise specified or permitted by the Advertiser
- If the Voucher is for tickets to an event or the Voucher allows you admission to an event and you (i) fail to use the Voucher for admission to the event, (ii) you redeem the Voucher for tickets to the event but fail to use them for the event or (iii) you do not redeem the Voucher for the tickets, you will not be entitled to any refund, redemption, credit or exchange
- Certain Vouchers may require exchanging the printed Voucher for actual tickets to an event Tickets are first come, first serve for seating, etc, so exchange in a timely manner is recommended
- Certain events require advance reservations Scheduling reservations is the responsibility of the purchaser Refunds will not be issued for inability to reserve preferred seating
The Citizen will give consumers the opportunity to rescind/terminate their unredeemed purchase with a full refund, for a period of seven (7) days following payment.
